How You Can Help

Helping Hands of Putnam County will gladly accept monetary donations, canned food donations, and volunteered time. You can feel good knowing that you are making a tangible difference in the local community each time you, your business, or civic group makes a contribution.

Helping Hands of Putnam County is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization. Gifts are fully tax deductible. Click on the button below to make an online donation to Helping Hands. Food Shelf Needs

Did you know that families who receive food stamps cannot get toilet paper, deodorant, soap, dish or laundry detergent, diapers or toothpaste with their stamps? These things are not edible so they do not qualify for food stamp purchases. HHPC has many people who ask if they will be getting toilet paper with their food or if we have any laundry detergent. If you're ever wondering what you should buy for the food shelf, these items are always in need.

Current Food Needs:

  • Canned Meals (soup, chili, Spaghetti O's)
  • Pork and Beans, Tuna, Juice, Fruit
  • Vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • Mac 'n Cheese
  • Laundry Detergent (powder), Dish Detergent
  • Diapers (larger sizes), Toilet Paper
  • Deodorant, Toothpaste
